India will visit South Africa for three Tests, six ODIs and three T20s early next year. Both Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Cricket South Africa (CSA) have confirmed the same according to an ANI report.

India will begin their tour with the New Year's Test on January 5 in Cape Town. However, the details of the other matches will be announced later.

"India will play South Africa in a three-match 'Mahatma Gandhi-Nelson Mandela' Test series, six-match One-Day International series, followed by three Twenty20 Internationals," the BCCI was quoted as saying in the ANI report.

It may be recalled that the BCCI had earlier informed CSA that India could not tour the country until the last week of this year as their home series against Sri Lanka would finish on December 24.
